Poetry

This week me and my buddy were working on how to make a poetry and it was a lot of fun. The easy part about it was creating the poetry and the hard part was trying to come up with some words.

My reflective blog comment of term 2

The thing that I achieved this term was completing my hinaki project because I put a lot of work into my mahi and it was so fun making it too and the easy part about it was making the hinaki and the hard part was trying to set my trap in the right place for the eel to go in.

What I need to work on is trying to finish my work in the amount of time of given and making my work a lot more interesting because i'm a year 8 and I should know better and here is a photo of us going eeling.

Diet

Did you know that eels eat live food. Also when they get bigger they start to eat crayfish and they eat small birds like duckling.

Today I did a paragraph on an eels diet.
the easy part about writing diet was gathering all my facts and the hard part was trying to sort my facts out in the right place to make my diet paragraph interesting.

Soar

This week Tuesday we have been rewriting a story call soar but we had to write it in our own words. I have learnt from this lesson using 7 plus gems and also using powerful nouns, verbs and adjectives.

1. sad

Woah! as my aircraft flew into the shining blue sky I was so amazed that I thought that it was gonna fly 100m if it did i will be so happy. As I sat on bright green grass I heard a crash so ran as fast as I could to go and have a look I thought it was my that dad that crash but it was just my aircraft. So I sadly walked to the picnic table sat down I was so sad that  every time I made an aircraft it always fails but suddenly a shining blue bag fell from the sky hit my head it was so sore but Also a little aircraft crash into the tree also a tiny little girl came out of her aircraft she to scared to grab her bag but once I looked up I saw her family  fly through the sky she was so sad so I had a mission to get her back up by her family.

This is a metaphor poem that I've been working on at school. I now know the difference between a simile and a metaphor because you write is instead of like, for a metaphor.

My chocolate family

Me and my family lives in a hard dark almond chocolate box.

Dad is the hard frozen dairy milk chocolate because he is the strong one.

Mum is the  delicious yummy special peanut slab chocolate because she is the yummy one that makes us survive.

Felila is the hard crunchy chocolate because she is the mean one to our sister.

Paea is a dark soft white chocolate because she is the weak one that always cries.

Liliani is a hard frozen picnic bar chocolate because she is the one that makes us laugh too much.

I am a dark coconut chocolate because I am the one that makes everyone angry because I am annoying to them.
